Keyboard shortcuts and accessibility
Everything in the recorder can be reached from the keyboard, and recording state is conveyed in text rather than colour alone.
Shortcuts
Space pauses and resumes while recording, and plays or pauses the preview afterwards. Tab moves between controls, and every control shows a visible focus ring.
The camera overlay
Tab to the overlay while recording, then use the arrow keys to move it and plus or minus to resize it. Recording with a webcam covers the overlay itself.
Screen readers
Recording state, elapsed time, permission errors and the microphone warning are all announced. Status changes use polite announcements so they do not interrupt what you are reading.
Colour
Red means recording, but the word "Recording" always appears alongside it. No state in the interface is communicated by colour alone.
