Problems
Screen sharing permission was denied
Permission errors come from two different places: the browser, and the operating system. The fix depends on which one refused.
You dismissed the picker
Closing the picker without choosing counts as a refusal. Press start and choose a source this time — there is nothing to reset.
The site is blocked
Click the icon to the left of the address bar and check the site’s permissions. If screen capture is set to Block, change it back to Ask.
The operating system refused
On macOS, screen recording must be granted to the browser in System Settings, then the browser restarted. This produces a permission error even though the browser itself was willing.
The page is not on HTTPS
Screen capture only works on a secure address, one of the constraints described in how it works. On plain HTTP the browser refuses before asking you anything.
