Problems

The recording stopped on its own

A recording that ends by itself has usually lost the thing it was recording. The good news is that whatever was captured up to that point is kept.

The window or tab closed

Capture ends when the source disappears. Closing the tab you were recording, or quitting the app whose window you shared, stops it immediately.

You pressed Stop sharing

The browser’s own sharing bar has a Stop button, separate from the recorder’s. Pressing it ends the capture. The recording is saved rather than lost.

The machine ran out of memory

The file is held in RAM until you download it, so file size and duration are the same problem. A very long or very high-resolution recording can exhaust available memory. Record in segments and save each one.

The computer slept

Sleep suspends capture and it does not resume. For long unattended recordings, disable sleep first.
