Screen recording in Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers
Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc are all Chromium underneath, so screen capture works as it does in Chrome. Their added privacy features occasionally get in the way.
Brave
Shields do not block screen capture, but blocking scripts on a site will stop the recorder from loading at all, since it is entirely JavaScript. If the page appears blank, lower Shields for that site.
Opera and Vivaldi
Both behave like Chrome. Opera’s built-in VPN has no effect on capture, because nothing is being uploaded in the first place.
Vivaldi’s tab tiling can confuse window capture: a tiled group is one window to the operating system, so you will capture all the tiles rather than the one you meant. Record a tab instead.
