How to record a slide presentation
The main risk when recording slides is accidentally recording the presenter view, complete with your notes and the next-slide preview.
With two screens
Start the presentation, then record the display showing the slides rather than the one showing presenter view. In the picker, Entire Screen lists each monitor separately.
With one screen
Use your presentation tool’s option to present in a window rather than full screen, then record that window. In Google Slides this is the "Presenter view" toggle; in PowerPoint it is Reading View.
Narration
Turn on the microphone and test it before you begin. Pause between sections rather than stopping — pausing keeps everything in one continuous file.
Leave a beat of silence after each slide transition. It gives you a clean point to cut later, and stops the last word of one slide running into the first of the next.
